Ethylene Vinyl Acetate (EVA) is a flexible thermoplastic copolymer built from ethylene and vinyl acetate. It is defined by two parameters — VA content (5–40%) and Melt Flow Index (MFI) — and appears as translucent to transparent pellets. The balance of these values tunes softness, clarity, adhesion and processability.

FAQ
EVA (Ethylene Vinyl Acetate) is a thermoplastic copolymer of ethylene and vinyl acetate. It combines rubber-like flexibility with easy thermoplastic processing and is supplied as translucent to transparent pellets.
VA content sets the property balance: 5–9% gives PE-like toughness, 9–18% suits films, 18–28% is used for hot-melt adhesives, and 28–40% is preferred for foam and PV encapsulant film.
Melt Flow Index (measured at 190°C / 2.16 kg) indicates melt flowability. Lower MFI means higher viscosity and strength; higher MFI means easier filling and faster cycling.
